Representing one of the world’s largest facilities using single-use bioreactors, this state-of-the-art new biopharmaceutical contract manufacturing facility is located near Dundalk, Co. Louth. Construction on the green field 100-acre site commenced in November 2018. The installation includes 7,500 tons of structural steel and in excess of 8,000 square meters of wall cladding. The facility is due to be commissioned in 2021 and will provide a valuable employment boost for the region, leading to the creation of 400 jobs when in full production. GDCL were responsible for all civil and structural design working as part of a project management and engineering design team led by IPS Ireland.
