The project was completed in November 2020, comprising a ‘new build’ of 2 x 6/7 storey blocks providing 160 Unit Aparthotel along with the refurbishment of the existing three properties at 34-37 Ormond Quay, Georgian Structures overlooking the river Liffey Quays. An existing archway provides access from the Quays will be utilized as the main entry point to a spectacular foyer serving a new 160 Bedroom Aparthotel which will extend and provide a much-required facelift to Strand Street Great. Completion of the project is due July 2020. The substructure involved installation of 222 Continuous Flight Auger (CFA) piles. The superstructure comprised a reinforced concrete frame with flat slab floors. GDCL were responsible for all civil and structural design working as part of multi-disciplinary design & build team.
