Project Details:

This was one of the early web hosting facilities and required a great deal of research and forward planning to ensure that sufficient flexibility was provided for the ever expanding ‘dot com’ industry which was in it’s early years at time of construction. A significant feature of the project was the very extensive range of building services and communication infrastructure required to be accommodated.

In particular a significant Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) battery installation was required to be housed within an existing building on a newly constructed purpose-built mezzanine level—also requiring assessment and strengthening of existing foundations. Further measures to provide the vital redundancy in power supply included the provision of a new power/plant building housing diesel Generators with 2.5 MW Capacity.
